Young, energetic, but most importantly, knowledgeable and entertaining, Garvan has talked about Dublin city so much that now Dublin city is talking about HIM! Having over 200 tours under his belt, he knows all the main sites and most of the hidden ones ;)

With a degree in Medieval Irish and Celtic Studies, his background is historical, but his personality and style is deeply passionate, engaging, entertaining, funny and high-spirited, with a bit of the theatrical occasionally thrown in for good measure!

So, if you’re planning a trip to Dublin or if you’re here already, just give him a quick email or call and he’ll be delighted to show you about the place!

Garvan was a super tour guide, full of facts & figures. As expected, a really good Sense of humor!! He was even up for me shouting him a beer! Highly recommend him!

Though some what familiar with Dublin from three previous visits, this time my wife and I had with us all our children and grandchildren, thirteen of us in all, our ages ranging from nine to seventy one. Consequently I doubted my ability to give our diverse group the flavor of Dublin – its history, culture, and vitality – in a manner that would both inform and engage all. Fortunately I found Garvan on the web, provided him an understanding of our group and for what I hoped from our ramble about Dublin, and left it to him to plan our experience. It was a splendid success. For five hours as we wandered purposefully about Dublin, Garvan held us all with his cultural and historical knowledge of Dublin, his wit, and his story telling. We saw the popular sites you would want and expect to see, but we also saw sites Garvan knew would be special to my family’s interests, e.g., the studio where U-2 made one of their very early recording (a huge hit with my son and grandsons), a delightful, off the beaten path sandwich shop where we had lunch, and we learned, and some later visited, those pubs where the very best traditional music could be found. Following the tour the family reviews were uniformly enthusiastic, including that of our nine year old. After returning home, our grandson wrote us a note all about the trip, the high point of which for him was Garvan’s dramatic telling of the legend of Cuchulain in front of the Cuchulain statue at the General Post office. Our time in Dublin was limited, but thanks to Garvan, very rich. I recommend Garvan to all who wish not only to see but to experience Dublin.
